First London International Jazz Competition (Cadogan Hall)
in London UK on March 22 2006
From an initial entry of over 100 hopefuls, Mon David, a Filipino, was finally chosen as the worthy winner. Six finalists performed at the Cadogan Hall, London, on the 22nd March 2006, before a very discerning judging panel from the jazz world. Dan Barnett and Karlie Bruce, both from Australia, were two of the finalists who gave David a very close run to the final hurdle.
