Coventry Jazz Festival in Coventry UK on May 27-28, 2006
The nice thing about jazz festivals like Coventry is that they give lesser known artists the chance to play to a wider audience. The Phoenix Collective is an educational project bringing together young people from Coventry's schools for some intensive jazz tuition and here they had the opportunity to play in the Cathedral Ruins Marquee with special guest Gilad Atzmon. I'm afraid I didn't get all of their names - sorry guys! Following them was Livebox, who played a set of their own and then hosted a jam session. The Carmelites played in one of the smaller venues, the Herbert.
