The Works are inspired by early 1970s fusion bands - think Weather Report with a strong folk influence - and they produce music which is both enjoyable and accessible. Regular drummer Nic France was unavailable, and Richard Bailey (remember Jeff Beck's "Blow By Blow"?) did a great job sitting in for him.
