Jonathan Gee has a deserved reputation as one of the UK's leading pianists, and in 2003 he was invited to play at the Appenine Jazz Festival, accompanied by Allesandro Minetto and Danilo Gallo. Their first meeting was such a success that they have continued to work together since then. Together they constitute a classic modern piano trio, with echoes of Monk, Hancock and Paul Bley.
