Ten Years of Jazz at the Bonington (Bonington Theatre)

The second of two concerts to celebrate ten years of jazz at the Bonington featured EMYJO (East Midlands Youth Jazz Orchestra) with special guest Alan Barnes. Jon Eno deserves a great deal of credit for his hard work in organising three ensembles (of differing abilities) and getting a very professional performance from the youngsters. The choice of material was wide-ranging, including a lovely arrangement of Pat Metheny's "Always and Forever". The dedication of people like Jon Eno helps encourage future generations of jazz musicians.
