Richie Barshay is a formidable percussionist, perhaps best known for his work with Herbie Hancock, but in his "Round Table" project he brings together rising stars from both New York and London in a band that fuses contemporary jazz with world music influences. One of the highlights of the evening was his attempt (largely successful!) to get the Bonington audience to clap along in a complicated Indian rhythmic cycle.
