The HSBC Brecon Jazz Festival celebrates its quarter century this year (2008). It is a good time therefore to indulge in nostalgia, and the year 2000 is proving to be a gem. The Charles Llyod Quartet, pictured here, gave a thoroughly memorable performance, confirming that his many years off the scene certainly re-charged the batteries of one of the most distinctive sounds in jazz.
