One of John Etheridge's many projects is Trio North, a collaboration with two of the finest musicians from the North of England, bassist Ben Crosland and drummer Dave Tyas. John's journey from London to Nottingham turned out to be something of a nightmare - he was due to take a workshop at a local school in the afternoon before the concert and set off just after 11 a.m. Extensive roadworks on the M1 motorway meant that a journey that should have taken three hours took nearly seven! Stuck in a traffic jam for over an hour, John got out his acoustic guitar and entertained the other stranded motorists...
