Tim Garland's new trio might be described as "chamber jazz", combining contemporary jazz with tango and Spanish influences. In spite of this being one of the trio's first concerts, the musicians showed a significant degree of empathy and the music was ideally suited to the acoustic of the 14th century Guildhall.
