Biography: Pianist and composer Gary Farr who has produced and recorded on several different CD's since 1995. LOST being the first jazz CD released, performed and debuted at Sunfest in Palm Beach Florida with his quintet back on May 1, 1999. The original band started recording in 1995. One of Gary's last projects as producer and musician was the successful smooth jazz CD "Up All Night" featuring saxophonist Ron Fattorusso released in 2004. The Fresh Brew project started in 1999 and was an on going musical experience for Gary and others involved for four years. After long delays from Gary's musical and personal life, Fresh Brew is now a finished project with a unique collection of different rhythms from funk, rock, hip-hop to reggae interweaved with heavy jazz overtones. Gary has deep roots of influences going back to his college years of studying and listening to (and years later meeting) Oscar Peterson, Thelonious Monk, Chick Corea, Bill Evans and following the musical patterns and changes of Herbie Hancock.

Gary quotes, "I write passionately and emotionally within myself or from an idea expressed to me by another to suit the mood, theme or pure expression. I enjoy composing away from the typical 'smooth jazz' sound or even the traditional jazz but like to come up with idea's that break all the rules. With Fresh Brew it is hard to even sub-genre the CD because of all the musical blends and rhythms used crossing over with classical, reggae, hip hop and rock with jazz heavily infused".
