Biography: Shawn Maxwell of Aurora, Illinois is an accomplished woodwinds multi-instrumentalist (saxophones, clarinet and flute) and a professional jazz performer. He is also a teacher, composer, and arranger. Leader of the Shawn Maxwell Quartet, he provides excellence in jazz entertainment in Chicago-land and beyond.
Mr. Maxwell's performance experience is impressive. He has toured in Sweden, London, Portugal, and Greece, has entertained on a Caribbean cruise line, and has played with the Guy Lombardo Orchestra. Additionally, he has played with numerous jazz combos at venues throughout greater Chicago-land. Known for his high-level, high-energy playing, Shawn Maxwell has a loyal fan base and regularly draws an appreciative crowd at his engaging performances.
A student of music and jazz all his life, Shawn Maxwell received a degree in Commercial Music from Millikin University. He resides with his family in Aurora, Illinois.
