Biography:

For generations, music has been a very important part of Sharkey Family history. Father Michael's career began at age four in the form of a performance on drums at the Breadbasket Concert, (now known as the Chicago Black Expo). Each of the Sharkey children have been raised on jazz, gospel, and R&B music, and each has his or her own ability to spotlight.

Isaiah began playing at age four under the close instruction of his father, uncle, and family friends, who also happened to be accomplished jazz musicians. Isaiah has a deep love for all styles of guitar, a fact that comes shining through in the live shows.

Isaiah's debut cd,"Skyliner", moves through timeless covers of Wes Montgomery tunes, then explores the beautiful tones and textures of George benson-era jazz,  and through original contemporary tunes that possess none of the "sterility" of modern contemporary jazz.

Isaiah's exploration of the guitar has just begun. This young man is a shining light on the horizon of modern jazz guitar.
